FAQs

Shipping + Delivery

Expect your pod in 6-8 weeks. Pods arrive unassembled in a stack of cardboard boxes on a large wooden pallet. After your purchase, we’ll send you a delivery questionnaire to collect important information for our delivery partners. Standard delivery means delivery during business hours 8:00-4:30 Monday - Friday.*

*Additional shipping costs will apply if outside of standard freight. Standard freight assumes loading dock and no additional services. Additional services include: Inside delivery, holiday/weekend, outside of normal business hours, expedited or guaranteed service.

Self Installation

The carrier will leave your palleted pod at the loading dock or inside the first threshold of the building. You’re responsible for accepting the delivery at time of arrival, storing the pallet indoors (and not stacked with other boxes), and transporting it to the final installation location. Customers that do not accept the order are responsible for storage and/or additional transport fees.

Inspect the pallet upon delivery for any damage that may have occurred during shipping. If there’s damage, please tell the carrier to note it in the  BOL/POD, take photos, and contact customersuccess@mamava.com to let us know. Should you discover damaged pod parts as you unpack the boxes, you have 10 calendar days to submit the damage claim form.

Pallet size:
7’10” W x 4’7” D x 2’7” H
Total weight: 550 lb

See our Preparing for Your Mamava document regarding self-installation.

Professional Installation

If you purchase Professional Installation, the delivery crew will schedule delivery with you directly and arrive with the pod at the agreed upon time. Our delivery partner is a crew of non-union professionals. If you need delivery by union members, please choose self installation.

See our Preparing for Your Mamava document regarding paid-installation.

Mamava App (free) + Smart Access Technology

The free Mamava app is an easy way for breastfeeding parents to check pod availability and unlock Mamava pods. (Pods can also be opened with keypad code and physical keys tool). After delivery, we’ll reach out to collect details about your pod’s specific site location so we can add it to the app to ensure proper pod functionality. If you need a tech-free pod, contact our sales team.

App Listing Options: Choose How Your Pod Shows Up on the Mamava App

As the pod owner, you can select how (or if!) you want your pod to show up on the Mamava app. The three options are: Public, Public with limited access (most common for back-of-house use cases), or Not on the app. No matter what display options you choose, adding the specific location of your Solo pod supplies the Mamava team with information we need for any future service or maintenance.

      Public Listing

For public spaces that would like all app functionality—wayfinding, occupancy, vacancy alerts, and entry.

      Limited Access Listing

For spaces that have access limitations (i.e. employees only, ticket required) but want all app functionality.

      Not on the app

For high-security locations that don’t want any app functionality due to technological restrictions.

*Contact our sales team if you prefer this app listing option or want to purchase a tech-free Solo Base model.

Smart Access Benefits for Pod Users: Parents use the Mamava app to find and unlock pods with a touch of a button, check occupancy status, receive vacancy alerts, and read words of support from other breastfeeding parents.

Smart Access Benefits for Pod Owners: The Mamava app gives pod owners better access control by limiting lactation spaces for intended users only and eliminating additional layers of security between managers and employees. With the purchase of a Mamava Service Plan, pod owners receive usage reports that help measure the impact of pod(s), optimize placement, determine capacity planning, and simplify care and keeping.
